Ask whether ordinary transport is suitable
A device with swelling, smoke, unusual heat or serious physical damage needs qualified handling advice. Do not pack and ship it as an ordinary parcel based on this article. Tell the service provider the condition before bringing it in or arranging collection.
Prepare the permitted items
For an ordinary device accepted for intake, ask which accessories are needed to reproduce the complaint. Label removable accessories and record what is being handed over. Keep account credentials and unnecessary personal documents out of the package.
Keep the complaint accessible
Provide a short symptom description, relevant timing and data priorities. Do not rely on a verbal message passed through several people. At drop-off, compare the item list and visible condition with the intake record. The objective is a clear transfer of the device and information, not an unsupported guarantee against every transport risk.
The owner sends only the device for an accessory-dependent fault
Contact them about the accessory identity and the agreed test arrangement. Record that the original setup is unavailable. Do not describe a different charger or dock comparison as a complete reproduction of their normal-use complaint.
