Understand the purpose
Google describes safe mode as a way to investigate problems associated with downloaded apps. It changes the software environment; it is not a hardware repair or a promise that a particular app will be identified automatically. Starting procedures differ between manufacturers.
Repeat the same symptom
Write down the original trigger before entering safe mode using the manufacturer’s instructions. Compare an equivalent task where possible. If the original complaint depends on a disabled app, record that limitation rather than declaring the test passed because the failing task could not run.
Return to normal operation thoughtfully
Exit using the supported procedure and document any changes, including affected home-screen widgets. Investigate suspected apps one at a time with the owner’s permission. An improvement in safe mode guides the next software check; it should not become a fabricated diagnosis of a specific component or app.
The failing app cannot run in safe mode
If the complaint only occurs in a downloaded app that safe mode disables, the original task cannot be repeated directly. Record that limitation. An absence of crashes under a different workload is weaker evidence than an equivalent comparison.
Your practice record
- Normal-mode trigger written down
- Correct manufacturer procedure used
- Equivalent comparison possible or limited
- Normal mode restored and result recorded

Repair procedures involve heat, electricity, fragile parts and customer data. Practise under qualified supervision and work only on devices you are authorized to service.
