Define a reproducible action
Record the app name, version and the action immediately before it closes. Does it fail at startup, during login or only when opening a particular file? Compare another normal app without accessing private content. A specific trigger gives support something useful to investigate.
Keep a change log
Use supported app and system checks for the actual device. Google’s Android guidance includes updates, storage checks and investigation of downloaded apps. Change one permitted condition at a time, then repeat the same trigger. Otherwise a later improvement cannot be tied to a clear action.
Protect local app data
Do not treat reinstalling or clearing storage as harmless: the owner may lose local records or need account recovery. Agree on backup and access before those steps. If the failure remains isolated, contact the app developer with a minimal, non-private reproduction description before considering board work.
A repeatable file-opening failure
If an app opens normally but closes on one permitted sample file, record that narrower trigger. A different sample that works provides a useful comparison. It does not automatically establish whether the original file or the app’s handling is responsible.
