Start with words from the actual task
Choose terms encountered in a guide or class: reference, connector, continuity, input and output, for example. Write a plain explanation in your preferred language next to the original term. Add a small example rather than copying a dictionary definition you cannot apply.
Preserve precise notation
Keep component identifiers, model numbers, units and official error codes unchanged. Translate the explanation around them. A translated note should not convert a part reference into a value or omit the prefix from a measurement.
Test understanding through use
Explain a labelled diagram or diagnostic record to a study partner, then ask the instructor to correct unclear terms. Confirm the actual teaching language and support available before enrollment. A glossary is a learning aid, not evidence that a programme provides instruction in every language.
A translated term changes a measurement
Keep the original notation alongside the explanation and ask the instructor to review it. A friendly translation that drops a prefix can make the record misleading. The glossary should improve understanding while preserving exact units and identifiers.
