What to Observe in a Repair Demo Class

Use a short observation sheet to understand how the instructor teaches decisions and practice.

01

Watch the reasoning sequence

During an available demonstration, note how the instructor defines the complaint, separates facts from hypotheses and chooses a check. A dramatic component replacement can be interesting, but ask what evidence justified that operation.

02

Observe the learning conditions

Look for preparation, suitable equipment, clear visibility and opportunities to ask questions. Ask which parts of the demonstrated task students later perform themselves and how feedback is provided. Do not assume that attending a demonstration gives permission to handle a customer device.

03

Leave with confirmed answers

Record the syllabus questions answered and those that need follow-up. Confirm current course facts directly with admissions. Your observation sheet should help compare teaching approaches, not become an invented review, testimonial or claim about outcomes you have not experienced.

04

A demonstration jumps straight to replacement

Ask what evidence supported the decision and how a student would learn to collect it. Record the answer without turning the visit into an invented endorsement. A useful demo observation makes the teaching process clearer, including any questions left open.

05

Your practice record

  • Complaint and hypothesis distinguished
  • Reason for the chosen check
  • Student practice and feedback explained
  • Unanswered enrollment questions
