Translate labels into observable work
For each syllabus item, ask what a student will explain, inspect, measure or perform. “Advanced diagnosis” is too broad on its own. A concrete answer might describe tracing a documented path and justifying the next test under supervision.
Check the assumed foundations
Ask which electronics, diagram-reading and equipment skills the programme expects at entry. If a prerequisite is unfamiliar, find out how it can be learned first. Skipping a foundation can make later demonstrations harder to interpret even when the student can copy the physical action.
Compare progression and assessment
Look for an explanation of how exercises become more demanding and how feedback is given. Keep the confirmed outline alongside your current skill record. An advanced title does not establish suitability, and a beginner label does not imply low value if it teaches the foundations you need.
An advanced topic assumes schematic fluency
If you cannot yet follow the relevant nets, ask how to build that prerequisite. Selecting a course by its advanced label will not remove the gap. The comparison should show the path from your current evidence to the required entry skills.

Repair procedures involve heat, electricity, fragile parts and customer data. Practise under qualified supervision and work only on devices you are authorized to service.
